Legendary Clarinetist, Richard Stoltzman, along with Jazz Pianist, Peter John Stoltzman, will hold a masterclass and open rehearsal with  The University of Kentucky Jazz Ensemble.

7:30 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at The Singletary Center for the Arts Recital Hall.
This collaboration with the UK Jazz Ensemble is underwritten by The Harstad Fine Arts Series (HFAS) and held in conjunction with the April 12 concert “Celebrating Bernstein’s World.”

(Lexington, KY) Father and Son duo, Richard Stoltzman and Peter John Stoltzman, will lead an open rehearsal of Leonard Bernstein’s 1949 work Prelude Fugue and Riffs with the University of Kentucky Jazz Ensemble, Miles Osland, director. During the session the Stoltzmans will also conduct a masterclass for students of Scott Wright, UK professor of clarinet, and other students in the ensemble.

The public is invited to attend and may sit in the audience. There are no reservations and this is free of charge. The concert held the next day also presented free of charge is expected to “sell out” due to the limited capacity of Faith Lutheran Church, venue for HFAS.
